Local architect honored with national fellow designation

Craig Galati only one in Nevada, one in six nationwide to be recognized July 31

LAS VEGAS – Craig Galati, AIA, FSMPS, CPSM, principal of LGA, a downtown Las Vegas-based architecture and design firm, will be honored Thursday, July 31, in San Antonio, Texas as a society fellow during the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Awards Gala, part of the SMPS annual conference. Galati is one of six people honored with the designation nationwide and the only one in Nevada to be honored.

Members who have been active in the society for more than 10 years and who hold a current Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) designation were eligible to apply for the Fellow Recognition Program. Recipients were endorsed by their local organizations and letters of recommendation were submitted by colleagues and those who were mentored by the nominee.  Fellows are expected to give back to the community as a resource at the chapter, regional and national levels and provide insight, ideas, programs and additional mentoring.

“It’s a nice accomplishment personally. I really love this organization and to be recognized and have the opportunity do more teaching and coaching really got me excited,” Galati said. “I love to talk to the next generation of this profession – on the marketing and architectural side – and this is another opportunity to do that. It opens me up to opportunities to speak and teach and share, and I like doing that.”

Galati’s past designations include the Nevada silver medal from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Nevada chapter as well as the CPSM, which he earned earlier this year.
