Henderson Chamber offers workshops for better business

Mastering Outlook, e-mail the focus of next Roadmap to Success Series Feb. 17

HENDERSON, Nev. – The next topic to be featured in the Roadmap to Success Series – hosted by the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and the Henderson Business Resource Center – will be “From Lost to Confident II: Mastering the Use of Outlook and Email.”

Featuring Rich Manley, owner of TechVanta, the workshop will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at the Henderson Business Resource Center – located at 112 Water St. near West Pacific Avenue in downtown Henderson.

Free to Henderson Chamber members, the Roadmap to Success Series began in September and continues through May. The series includes 23 workshops covering topics including finance, legal, marketing, and operations and sales.

Manley owns TechVanta, a business IT solutions company that serves small- and medium-sized businesses in Southern Nevada. Manley has almost two decades of diverse business IT experience, holding numerous industry certifications and a Bachelor of Science degree Information Systems.

During the workshop, Manley will discuss the nuances of Microsoft Outlook, a popular e-mail program, and how to use them to enhance business and create marketing opportunities. Workshop participants will learn how to organize using folders and rules, create e-mail signatures, auto-complete addresses and use HTML or plain text as well as how to use Outlook’s calendars and contacts applications to their full potential.

All chamber members and the public are invited to attend. There is no cost for Henderson Chamber members. Cost for non-members is $25. Breakfast is sponsored by Emerald Island Casino.
