Henderson Chamber’s Roadmap to Success welcomes Stacey Wedding Feb. 20
HENDERSON, Nev. – Stacey Wedding, founder and CEO of Professionals in Philanthropy, will present “Bringing Back the ‘Fun’ in Fundraising for Nonprofit Board Members” as part of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce’s Roadmap to Success workshop series from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the Henderson Business Resource Center, located at 112 S. Water St. in downtown Henderson’s Water Street District.
During the presentation, Wedding will discuss strategies to turn a board of directors’ inertia into fundraising action, a structure for effective board involvement in fundraising and techniques to get every board member involved in the fundraising process.
Wedding’s history in the nonprofit sector includes serving for seven years in various positions, such as interim president and vice president of donor services and programs, at the Nevada Community Foundation. During her tenure, she helped the organization grow from $10 million to $45 million, re-designed the organization’s approach to grant making, served as philanthropic adviser and served as the organization’s spokesperson, among other roles. Before joining the foundation, she was as an account executive for Ballard Communications. A native Las Vegan, Wedding earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The Roadmap to Success Workshop Series covers all aspects of business critical for business owners to understand and properly execute to stay afloat, especially when times are tough. The series began in September and continues through May. It is comprised of 16 workshops covering topics including finance, human resources, law, marketing, and operations, sales and technology.
The workshop series is sponsored by the City of Henderson, Cox Communications and Prism Global Management Group LLC.
