Henderson Chamber’s Roadmap to Success welcomes CanDee Baker, Mary Marriott
HENDERSON, Nev. – CanDee Baker of Baker’s Bookkeeping and Tax Services and Mary Marriott with BRAINtrust Marketing and Communications will present “Surviving the Roller Coaster Ride of Bookkeeping and Cash flow” as part of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce’s Roadmap to Success workshop series from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20, at the Henderson Business Resource Center, located at 112 S. Water St. in downtown Henderson’s Water Street District.
During the presentation, the presenters will share easy-to-apply methods to improve personal and business bank balances, time spent on bookkeeping and cash flow. They also will address when it’s time to hire another person, why it’s difficult to cover payroll when it seems the business is booming and why bookkeeping can sometimes take longer than it should.
Baker has 25 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience working with nonprofit organizations to Athena Cosmetics. She is a member of the Intuit Pro Advisor network as well as the National Association of Tax Preparers, National Association of Bookkeepers and the Henderson Chamber of Commerce.
Marriott, accounting and human resources administrator for BRAINtrust Marketing and Communications, a full-service advertising agency and member of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, has more than 10 years of experience in all aspects of accounting and is a certified QuickBooks advisor. Prior to her work at BRAINtrust, Marriott owned Just Ask Mary Bookkeeping for seven years and assisted business owners in reducing costs and increasing margins, financial reporting, cash flow management, planning and forecasting.
All chamber members and the public are invited to attend. There is no cost for Henderson Chamber members. Cost for non-members is $25. An additional $10 will be charged for walk-in attendees. The Roadmap to Success Workshop Series covers all aspects of business critical for business owners to understand and properly execute to stay afloat, especially when times are tough. The series began in September and continues through May. It is comprised of 16 workshops covering topics including finance, human resources, law, marketing, and operations, sales and technology.
The workshop series is sponsored by the City of Henderson, Cox Communications and Prism Global Management Group LLC.
