Prêt–à–Porter to feature fall, winter ready-to-wear fashions for the modern woman
LAS VEGAS – A VIP red carpet event Friday, Nov. 13, will kick off Prêt–à–Porter Las Vegas, a new show concept and vision for the fashion industry. Local political dignitaries, celebrities, designers, retailers, sponsors, vendors and VIP ticket holders are expected to attend from 7 to 9 p.m.
Featuring this fall and winter’s fashions, Prêt–à–Porter Las Vegas will take place Friday through Sunday, Nov. 13 – 15, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino Convention Center, 3700 W. Flamingo Road.
During the VIP event, which will take place in the Rio’s Miranda Ballroom, attendees will have the opportunity to walk the red carpet.
“We decided to host a VIP event to kick off Prêt–à–Porter to provide our fashion show attendees with an opportunity to get to know one another in a more intimate setting,” Landry said. “We’re expecting guests from throughout the region, including Los Angeles, Phoenix and Salt Lake City, so it only made sense to provide them with an outlet for establishing beneficial connections.”
The brainchild of local Nevada business owner, Debbie Landry, “Prêt–à–Porter” (pronounced preta-por-tay) is a French phrase meaning, “ready to wear.” Landry, who serves as president and CEO of Redhead Enterprises and has a history in fashion and beauty, plans to host the event twice a year – once to highlight fall/winter fashions and once to show spring/summer clothing.
While ready-to-wear fashion shows are nothing new, Landry’s show brings a new concept to the industry. Targeting the modern woman, the show will feature current fashions (rather than future fashions) that are available for purchase from local retailers and manufacturers at the time of the show.
“This is a fashion show by the modern woman for the modern woman,” Landry said. “People from all stations of life – not just celebrities – want to look fashionable. As fun as it is to see all of the amazing concepts walked at New York Fashion Week or Paris Fashion Week, most of us will never have access to those clothes. Prêt–à–Porter Las Vegas will feature fashions we can actually buy and wear.”
Prêt–à–Porter Las Vegas will show fashions available for the modern woman this fall and winter, including where those fashions can be purchased. In addition to runway events, Prêt–à–Porter will include a retail vendor fair and more.
Cost to attend the event in general seating is $55 for a half day or $100 per day. Cost for VIP is $500 for all three days.
Saturday and Sunday will include two full days of fashion shows, beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 6 p.m. in the Basilla Ballroom. Times are subject to change; visit readytowearlv.com for more information. The days will be divided into two segments, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m., with four runway shows taking place during each segment.
