HENDERSON, Nev. – Valley Bank of Nevada has hired Roger Mellies as its senior vice president/senior lending officer for its Henderson loan office, located at 4343 E. Sunset Road.
With 25 years of banking experience – 23 years in commercial lending and credit administration – Mellies started in the business as a University of Nevada, Las Vegas graduate with a bachelor’s degree in finance. In the last 15 years, he has served in senior positions at banks such as Bank of Las Vegas and Nevada State Bank as well as chief credit officer for a $475 million bank.
As the senior vice president/senior lending officer, Mellies develops and maintains credit and non-credit account relationships; analyzes, structures and negotiates credit requests; reviews loan packages; prepares and presents for approval credit analysis of financial cash flow and debt service capacity; and supports the growth of a quality loan portfolio, among others.
