Magician to perform water-themed shows July 19
HENDERSON, Nev. – Many magicians rely on pulling rabbits out of hats and picking a playing card at random, but Tony Daniels caters his magic shows to different audiences in order to amaze children and families at libraries throughout California and Nevada.
“The Magic of Tony Daniels,” a water-themed magic show will “make a splash” during this year’s annual Summer Reading Program for Henderson Libraries. With two shows on Monday, July 19, Daniels will spend approximately 45 minutes performing magic created using the Summer Reading Program’s water inspired theme.
The magic show can be seen at 4 p.m. at the Paseo Verde Library – located at 280 S. Green Valley Pkwy. near the I-215 – and at 6:30 p.m. at the newly built Gibson Library – located in 100 W. Lake Mead Pkwy., in the Target shopping center.
The Libraries’ annual program offers incentives for children, teens and adults. The Summer Reading Program lasts from June 5 through Aug. 7. Kids age 11 and younger will take part in the “Make a splash at your library” reading program, while youth age 12-18 will take part in the “Make waves” program and adults ages 18 and older will take part in the “Dive into reading at your library” reading program. Themed programs will be offered for all age groups throughout the summer months as part of the program.
