Henderson Chamber to focus on effects of new act on small businesses March 13

HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly networking breakfast, “How Businesses Will Be Affected by the New Tax Cuts and Jobs Act,” presented by John Wightman of Rich, Wightman & Company CPAs, LLC, from 7 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Sunset Station, 1301 W. Sunset Road in Henderson.

During the presentation, Wightman will discuss how businesses will be affected by the new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The presentation will specifically include examples of the impact of the new pass through business deduction on small businesses.

A native of Las Vegas, Wightman graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and went on to earn his Certified Public Accountant license. He works as an expert with the Nevada Attorney General’s office to assist in investigations of business, fraud, securities and other complaints filed through that office.
