RTC’s general manager continues to gather feedback needed to plan, prioritize transportation projects
HENDERSON, Nev. – “Moving Our Community Forward” is the subject of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce’s next monthly network breakfast, which will take place 7 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, in Sunset Station’s Cancun Room, 1301 W. Sunset Road. Tina Quigley, general manager of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), will present.
As Southern Nevada’s economy continues to grow by attracting new businesses, visitors and residents, its transportation system faces a challenge to keep up with the demands of an estimated 44 million visitors annually and 2 million-plus residents. As a result, the RTC is gathering input from Southern Nevadans about the transportation needs and priorities of the community through a presentation and an interactive survey tool that will provide the organization with the feedback needed to plan and prioritize transportation projects in Southern Nevada.
As general manager, Quigley oversees one of the few agencies in the country that manages public transit, traffic management, roadway design, construction funding and transportation planning all under one roof.
A longtime and active member of the Southern Nevada community with more than 20 years of experience in the transportation industry, she is currently spearheading several initiatives to change how residents and visitors travel throughout the Las Vegas Valley by creating efficient and effective transportation options and improved infrastructure that will also drive economic development.
The event is sponsored by RTC of Southern Nevada.
