Henderson Chamber series welcomes Rich Manley of TechVanta on Jan. 24

HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber will host a Roadmap to Success Series workshop to discuss new technology Thursday, Jan. 24. “The Missing Start Button and Other Mysteries of the New Windows 8” with Rich Manley, managing partner at TechVanta, will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Henderson Business Resource Center, located at 112 Water St. in downtown Henderson’s Water Street District.

During the workshop, Manley will discuss if the new Microsoft Windows 8 operating system is good for business, why consumers would want to upgrade and if the new Windows 8 tablets are game changers for business-minded people.

Manley has more than two decades of experience in IT including as the IT manager at Lake Las Vegas Resort in Henderson and as the senior sales and system engineer at Intuit IT Solutions. After years of serving in the industry in various high-level positions for companies throughout the Southwest, Manley started TechVanta in 2009 to help companies of all sizes reap the benefits of having professionals help guide their use of technology without the expense of staffing a chief information officer or IT director. Manley joined forces with JJ Christian of JHC Technology Solutions in March 2012, merging the two companies to help better serve their similar customer base.

All chamber members and the public are invited to attend. There is no cost for Henderson Chamber members. Cost for non-members is $25. Breakfast is sponsored by Marriott Munchables. RSVP online at www.hendersonchamber.com/events/.
