Gina Bongiovi to show how to protect one’s business, assets April 3
HENDERSON, Nev. – Gina Bongiovi, managing partner at Bongiovi Law Firm, will present “How to Structure and Manage Your LLC or Corporation” during the Henderson Chamber of Commerce’s Roadmap to Success workshop series from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 3, at the Henderson Business Resource Center, 112 S. Water St., near West Pacific Avenue in downtown Henderson.
Bongiovi will cover three main points during her presentation: why incorporation is important; what “piercing the corporate veil” means and how to avoid it; and how business owners can properly structure and protect their businesses.
Bongiovi graduated magna cum laude in 2001 from the UNLV Honors College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a focus on marketing and with a minor in business law. She went on to be one of the first to both earn a law degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law and her MBA from the College of Business at UNLV in 2007. After starting her marketing company in 2005, she found a need in the marketplace for legal help for small startups like hers. Not able to find anything, she decided to dedicate her own practice to serving others in similar situations. Today, Bongiovi provides her clients with business-minded legal advice that addresses all facets of business ownership.
Bongiovi is a member of the State Bar of Nevada, and the American Bar Association, including the Young Lawyers Section, Solo and Small Firm Division, and Business Law Division. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada and all Nevada state courts.
The presentation is open to the public. Admission is free for members of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and $25 for non-members. Walk-ins will be charged an additional $10. Those interested should RSVP online at hendersonchamber.com/events by Tuesday, April 1.
