Henderson Chamber event to present ‘Nevada’s New Business Taxes’ Sept. 17
HENDERSON, Nev. – Gary Johnson, CPA and managing partner with Johnson Advisors, will present “Nevada’s New Business Taxes – Are You Ready?” as part of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce’s Roadmap to Success workshop series from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Henderson Business Resource Center, located at 112 S. Water St. in downtown Henderson’s Water Street District.
During the presentation, Johnson will discuss how the commerce tax works, how a business should prepare for reporting and paying the tax, and other recent tax changes for Nevada businesses.
Johnson began his career with Grant Thornton International, a CPA firm, when he graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1978. He went on to earn the construction industry technician designation through Clemson University’s Department of Construction Science and Management. He is now the managing partner of Johnson Advisors, a local business consulting and certified public accounting firm.
