Health care professionals, administrators invited to three-day event focusing on long-term care
LAS VEGAS – The Nevada Health Care Association will host its annual conference, meeting and exhibitor show Aug. 1-3 at Harvey’s Hotel and Casino – located at 18 Highway 50, just off Lake Tahoe Boulevard near Stateline, Nev.
Seminars and lectures scheduled for the event will cover long-term care issues and topics that currently affect, challenge and influence the health care profession. On Tuesday, Aug. 3, the conference will host a political roundtable moderated by Jon Ralston, political journalist and host of “Face to Face,” a political discussion television program. The roundtable will feature Assembly and Senate candidates from throughout rural and urban areas of Nevada.
The conference is open to all health care professionals, including facility administrators, executive directors, assisted living professionals, nurses, certified nursing assistants, office managers and social workers. Individuals who are associate members or have an interest in long-term care are also invited to attend.
The reservation deadline is open-ended. The cost of the event is $415 for members, $450 for non-members.
The program has been submitted to the Nevada Board of Examiners for Long Term Care Administrators, the National Association of Boards of Examiners for 12 CEU hours and to the Nevada Board of Social Workers for their maximum.
The Nevada Health Care Association is a non-profit organization of long term care facilities and associate members, together representing nearly 50 non-profit and for-profit assisted living, nursing facility, and sub-acute care providers that care for over 6,000 elderly and disabled individuals statewide and employ more than 8,000 Nevadans.
