New addition to add nearly 30 years experience to NHCA team
LAS VEGAS – The Nevada Health Care Association has named Daniel Mathis the political action committee chairperson.
As political action committee chairperson, Mathis will include lobbying on behalf of the state’s long-term care industry, raising funds, and educating Nevada’s leaders on the industry and its needs.
Mathis has been involved in the medical industry for nearly 30 years in a variety of positions including as a nursing assistant, brace maker and administrator.
After becoming a licensed administrator in 1989, Mathis served as regional vice president managing nine long-term care facilities in multiple states. He has been a resident of Nevada since 1998.
The Nevada Health Care Association is a non-profit organization of long-term care facilities and associate members together representing nearly 50 non-profit and for-profit assisted living, nursing facilities and sub-acute care providers that care for nearly 6,000 elderly and disabled individuals statewide and employ more than 8,000 Nevadans.
