Henderson Chamber of Commerce’s Henderson Development Association to host event, mixer Sept. 29

HENDERSON, Nev. – The economic development arm of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, the Henderson Development Association, will host “Made in Henderson,” a panel discussion featuring some of the leading manufacturers in the community from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29 at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas, Salons 3 and 4, 1610 Lake Las Vegas Parkway in Henderson.

Since the chamber’s inception 70 years ago it has had a close relationship with the manufacturing industries in the city of Henderson. From Basic Management Incorporated (BMI), instrumental in the United States’ exit from World War II, to recent companies such as Arroweye, Designs for Health, Ocean Spray and VSR Industries, the chamber has continued to work closely with those businesses that produce the products that fuel the local and national economy.

Panelists are scheduled to include Bob McCormick from Arroweye, Gary Hiler from Designs for Health, Jon Fryar from VSR Industries, Mark Rauenzahn from Ocean Spray and Julia Henderson from Henderson Steel. The panel will be moderated by Bart Patterson, the president at Nevada State College. A mixer will follow the discussion.

The event is sponsored by Burke Construction Group, Harsch Investment Properties, BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. and Ethel M Chocolates.

There is no charge for members of the HDA to attend the event but registration is required. Cost for Henderson Chamber members and guests of HDA members is $25. Cost for non-chamber members is $45. An additional charge of $10 will be added for walk-ins. The last day to RSVP is Thursday, Sept. 24. Cancellations are required by the RSVP deadline to receive a refund.

A division of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, the Henderson Development Association is a non-profit, voluntary organization committed to protecting and growing Henderson’s economic development by increasing the number of commercial and industrial primary jobs in the Henderson area.
