Licensing, certification for business owners the topic of workshop

Henderson Chamber’s Roadmap to Success series continues Feb. 21

HENDERSON, Nev. – As part of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Roadmap to Success workshop series, Serina Choi, marketing and business development consultant with National Licensing Services (NLS), will present “Get in the Game! Discover the Power of Licensing and Certifications” from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday,
Feb. 21, at the Henderson Business Resource Center’s Seminar Room (in the Wells Fargo Building), 112 S. Water St. in Downtown Henderson.

During the workshop, Choi will discuss the power of certification and licensing for businesses as well as the best avenues for woman-, minority-, or veteran-owned businesses.

At NLS, Choi leads a team of associates with a reputation for expertly guiding applicants through every step of state and local regulatory processes. As a minority-owned business, one of NLS’s goals is to assist in broadening the base of minority business owners in all industries through achieving minority certification.

The Roadmap to Success workshop series covers a variety of seminars offered on the first and third Thursday of every month, with the exception of summer, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Henderson Business Resource Center. Topics include health care, business, finance, insurance and marketing, among others.

The Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation is a non-profit corporation organized to manage and distribute funds and resources to further the development of the community through activities that are exclusively charitable, scientific or educational. The Foundation is responsible for the creation and success of both the Henderson Business Resource Center (a business incubator) and the Leadership Henderson program.
