USC grad brings building information modeling expertise to firm
LAS VEGAS – LGA recently hired Araceli Gomez as a project manager and designer.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, Gomez got her start as an architectural designer at Marnell Corrao Associates, then as a Senior Project Manager at Bergman Walls & Associates. Gomez has worked on many large-scale projects ranging from five thousand square foot models – two million square foot master plan projects. Gomez’s experience will only enhance the creativity at LGA, said Craig Galati, principle and owner of the firm.
“I had been part of some amazing projects in the hospitality and gaming industry and had gotten a lot of experience, especially a fast and furious method of architecture,” Gomez said. “But the core of me was looking for a firm rooted in the community we live in, where we could create architecture that meant something to that community. My wants were definitely answered when I met LGA and my connection to the team was natural. I’m excited to join the team and contribute to meaningful projects.”
To start, Gomez will be working with the design team on a project for Opportunity Village Oakey Campus.
Established in 1986, LGA is a cross-disciplinary, client-centered consulting firm that brings together the disciplines of architecture, sociology and sustainability using a collaborative, participatory and community-based process.
