Leadership Henderson to host fifth Biddin’ for Bottles

Annual event to benefit Leadership Henderson, Henderson Community Foundation

HENDERSON, Nev. – Leadership Henderson will host the fifth annual Biddin’ for Bottles fundraising and wine tasting event from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Grape Expectations, 7360 Eastgate Road, Suite 125, in Henderson. Biddin’ for Bottles is Leadership Henderson’s largest annual fundraiser. The charity partner this year is the Henderson Community Foundation, which will receive up to 25 percent of the proceeds to benefit their organization.

The Henderson Community Foundation, a nonprofit corporation, provides resources and support to improve the health, education and quality of life in the Henderson community and the Las Vegas Valley. HCF accomplishes this goal by accepting and managing charitable contributions and distributing resources to qualified causes that strengthen the community.

General admission is $45 per person or $80 per couple. VIP tickets also are available for $90 per person or $170 per couple.

“This is not only our largest fundraiser, it’s our favorite event of the year because it’s fun, it gives our guests an opportunity to try new wines, and it brings the community together to help worthy causes,” said Rebecca Fay, Leadership Henderson director.

Attendees will participate in a blind tasting with the opportunity to bid on their favorite bottles of wine. There will be many silent auction gift baskets and live auction items as well as wine, food and entertainment.

In 2014, Biddin’ for Bottles selected as its beneficiary Living Grace Home, which received $7,000 of the event proceeds. Providing housing, transportation, mentoring, and tender loving care, Living Grace Home provides a safe haven for pregnant youth ages 14 to 22 when the pregnancy has caused a problem between the youth and her guardian.

Event organizers are currently accepting in-kind donations for gift baskets and bottles of wine. Sponsorship opportunities are available as well.

Leadership Henderson is governed by the Henderson Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. The program strives to make better leaders and a stronger community.
