Leadership Henderson to enter its 11th year

Fellows to serve as steering committee chairman for 2010-11

HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Leadership Henderson program will enter its 11th year this fall.

Since its inception, Leadership Henderson has graduated more than 200 leaders into the community from its program, which is devoted to strengthening and educating community leaders by providing participants with in-depth insights into a variety of issues impacting residents of Henderson and Southern Nevada.

Sean Fellows, director of government affairs for Carrara Nevada and graduate of the program, will serve as the 2010-11 steering committee chairman of Leadership Henderson.

“He has a great deal of experience and passion for the program,” said Rebecca Fay, administrator of the foundation, which operates the Leadership Henderson program under its umbrella. “Through the years he has served as an empowering leader and mentor to many in the community and he’ll undoubtedly be instrumental in the continued success of this program.”

Chosen through a selective application and interview process, the participants in the program will study such issues as the history of the Henderson community, quality of life, infrastructure, government, business and gaming, health/human services and other areas vital to the continued growth and development for the City of Henderson.
