D.J. Allen to challenge attendees to embrace their role as coach at Henderson Chamber quarterly business luncheon

DJ AllenHENDERSON, Nev. – During the Henderson Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly business luncheon Wednesday, March 5, local business leaders will be challenged to embrace their role as “coach” in the game of business and understand and benefit from the common traits of elite teams.

D.J. Allen, founder/head visionary/speaker for The Xs & Os of Success and the 2014 Henderson Chamber of Commerce chairman, will present at the luncheon, which will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame (at Findlay Toyota), 7733 Eastgate Road.

Rich Abajian, general manager of Findlay Toyota and COO of the Findlay Automotive Group, will join Allen during part of the presentation.

Allen, who co-authored the book “The Xs & Os of Success: A playbook for Leaders in Business and Life” with Oklahoma basketball coach Lon Kruger, is currently working with coaches and sports industry leaders from across the nation on a new collection of leadership lessons. His background as both a successful entrepreneur and a senior administrator at the NCAA Division-I level offers a unique look into the power of teams in business.

Cost for the event is $35 for members and $50 for non-members; an additional $10 will be added to the cost for walk-ins. The last day to sign up for the luncheon is Tuesday, March 4.
