Regional Transportation Commission general manager to present at 6 p.m.

HENDERSON, Nev. – Tina Quigley, general manager for the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, will present “Interstate 11: What’s at Stake” during the Henderson Development Association’s next mixer, Wednesday, March 30.

The event will take place at Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino, 2800 S. Boulder Highway. Check-in will begin at 5 p.m., and Quigley will speak at 6 p.m.

The Henderson Development Association is the economic development arm of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce. Scott Muelrath, president and CEO of the Henderson Chamber discusses the event: (video).

Las Vegas and Phoenix are the only two metropolitan cities that are not linked by an interstate. When complete, Interstate 11 will have the potential to enhance travel and commerce between Arizona and Nevada, and eventually internationally. Quigley will discuss how the Interstate 11 infrastructure project will impact economic development plans for not only the region, but Henderson as well.

A Q&A session will follow the presentation. NDOT (Nevada Department of Transportation) representatives will also be on hand to help answer questions.
