Hubbard Supply Co. recognized with national award for growth

Affiliated Distributors ranks Hubbard as sales leader for Industrial and Safety

FLINT, Mich. — Hubbard Supply Co., operating continuously since it was founded in Flint, Michigan, back in 1865, has won top honors for growth and conversion in the Industrial and Safety division, Tools and Material Handling, in the annual Affiliated Distributors (AD) Spirit of Independence Awards.

Presented in Tampa, Florida, during AD’s 2023 Spring Network Meeting in March, the Spirit of Independence Awards celebrate the pride, passion and purpose each member supplier brings to outperform the market and serve others. Hubbard Supply Co. was announced as a leader in sales and conversions from 2022, beating out 172 other regional suppliers from across the country.

Throughout the year, member companies submit sales reports to AD, and news of which member has taken the top honor was not announced until the awards ceremony. Hubbard’s co-owners, Jeff Bigelow and Tim Brooks, were on hand in Tampa to receive the award.

“It was a happy surprise to learn we had won the growth and conversions award,” said Amy Brown, Hubbard’s marketing manager. “After a company has been in business for many generations, spanning three centuries now, it just proves you can always go in new directions and keep improving how you serve customers.”

Hubbard Supply Co. was named AD’s Industrial Member of the Year in 2016, and has taken home other AD awards in the past, but being named the leader for growth and sales is a first for this well-established supply distributor.
