Henderson Development Association to host a panel on economic growth
HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Development Association (HDA), the economic development arm of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, will host a luncheon and panel discussion, “Growing Eastward – Henderson’s Continued Expansion,” moderated by Scott Muelrath, president/CEO of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce. The event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Fiesta Henderson, located at 777 W. Lake Mead Parkway in Henderson.
Three panelists will lead an energizing discussion about the economic growth currently taking place in East Henderson. Panelists include Lee Farris of Landwell Company, Sam Kaufman of Henderson Hospital, and Cody Winterton of Lake Las Vegas.
As Henderson has recovered from the Great Recession, the local economy is seeing a rebirth in East Henderson. Lake Las Vegas, a high-end residential community, which includes three resorts and a prestigious golf course, is experiencing an increase in interest from those who want to wake up to views reminiscent of a favorite vacation spot. Cadence is a master-planned community designed around active lifestyles and includes Heritage, a 55+ adult neighborhood. This fast-growing community is currently home to more than 800 families. Henderson Hospital offers area residents a comprehensive list of high quality medical services, including specialties in emergency medicine, childbirth services and cardiac care.
Cost for the luncheon is $50 for chamber members and $80 for the general public. The reservation/cancellation deadline is Friday, Aug. 3. There will be a $10 fee for all walk-ins.

The Henderson Development Association (HDA), the economic development art of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, focuses on growing the primary job base in Henderson by encouraging the attraction, retention, expansion and diversification of the business community. The HDA supports the efforts of the city of Henderson’s Economic Development Department, highlighting workforce development and retention by proactively identifying and servicing business clusters within the community.
