‘A Fluid World of Wonder: Stories to Whet the Imagination’ to occur July 21-23
HENDERSON, Nev. – Although audiences will stay dry during this Henderson Libraries Summer Reading Program 45-minute water-themed story time, creative storyteller Jim Cogan will present “A Fluid World of Wonder: Stories to Whet the Imagination.”
Cogan describes creative storytelling as the water cycle: it constantly changes form, substance, style and place, but it endures forever in the memories and imaginations of children. He will narrate folktales, fables, fact and fiction during the event.
As a nationally recognized storyteller, Cogan weaves his consummate love of water, the West and his appreciation of folklore into an engaging program. A Las Vegas native, Cogan encourages the audience to participate, sing along and be involved from beginning to end.
Cogan will present “A Fluid World of Wonder” at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, at the Green Valley Library – located at 2797 N. Green Valley Pkwy., on the corner of Sunset Road – and at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, at the Malcolm Library – located at 2960 Sunridge Heights Pkwy., just off Seven Hills Pkwy.
