Shane Huish, designer of the project, to talk jobs, economic impact March 11
HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly network breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Black Mountain Golf and Country Club, 500 Greenway Road, in Henderson.
During the breakfast, guest speaker Shane Huish, partner and general manager of Cowabunga Bay Water Park, will discuss the project, including approximately 350 seasonal jobs it will bring to Henderson and its economic impact on the business community. Cowabunga Bay is a 23-acre development that will feature more than 25 water slides and attractions. It is scheduled to open on Saturday, May 24.
Huish has a vast history in the amusement park industry. He served as the creative director for Paramount Parks in Charlotte, NC and director of design for Six Flags. He also was instrumental in creating the Cowabunga Bay brand in Draper, Utah and has been general manager of that park for the last five seasons. Huish personally designed the Henderson location.
The breakfast is sponsored by Neuropathy and Pain Centers of America. RSVPs, which are required, must be made by Friday, March 7. The cost is $20 for members and $40 for non-members. There will be an additional $10 fee for those who do not RSVP ahead of time. Cancellations must be made by the RSVP deadline to receive a refund.
