Roadmap to Success series continues with tips for small business owners April 5
HENDERSON, Nev. – As part of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Roadmap to Success workshop series, Amy Matthews of Nevada Association of Employers will present “HR For the Small Business Owner” from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at the Henderson Business Resource Center’s Seminar Room (in the Wells Fargo Building), 112 S. Water St. in Downtown Henderson.
Many small business owners are unaware of employment laws that apply specifically to them. During this workshop, Matthews will provide Human Resource basics for the small business owner.
Matthews brings a unique perspective, having been a private sector executive level human resources employee as well as operating as an independent consultant. She is a native Las Vegan with 20 years of experience in human resources, operations, training and compliance, and is certified in human resources management and employment law.
The workshop is open to all chamber members and the public. There is no cost for Henderson Chamber members. Registration for non-members is $25. An additional $10 will be charged for walk-in attendees. To reserve a space, register here by Tuesday, April 3.
The event is sponsored by Wells Fargo and the City of Henderson.
