Annual event showcases future of business in Henderson, year’s past successes
HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will host its annual State of the Chamber Address from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 in the Milan Ballroom at the M Resort, 12300 Las Vegas Blvd. South, in Henderson. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.
Sponsored by Cox Communications, the event will showcase the Henderson Chamber’s successes and progress made during the last year as well as the vision for the future. The event will also commemorate the chamber’s outgoing 2012-13 Board of Directors chairman, Rick Smith, and observe the passing of the gavel to incoming the chairman, D.J. Allen. Newly elected board members also will be introduced and sworn in and awards and recognition will be given to key players in the Henderson business community.
The Henderson Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit, voluntary organization committed to promoting and supporting member businesses. The event also gives chamber members the opportunity to network with board members, trustees and other members as well as those from the Henderson Development Association and the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
All chamber members and the public are invited to attend. Cost for the event is $50 per person, $375 for a table for eight. Reservations are required and are due by Friday, Aug. 23. Tickets can be purchased online at www.hendersonchamber.com.
