More than 500 attendees expected; ‘Henderson Rising’ theme puts focus on growth
HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will host its fifth annual Henderson Business Connection Expo from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at the Henderson Convention Center, located at 200 S. Water Street in the Water Street District.
Presented by the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, Henderson Development Association and the City of Henderson, the event will welcome chamber members, potential members and the Henderson community at large.
This year’s expo offers nearly 100 booths designed for business-to-business networking and a guest panel discussion titled “Henderson Eastside Developments,” spotlighting new economic development and business growth in the Henderson community. Panelists will include: Barbra Coffee, manager of the Economic Development/Redevelopment Division for the City of Henderson; Curt Fickeisen, general manager of the Galleria at Sunset; Karla Perez, regional vice president for Valley Health System and vice president for Acute Division (UHS); Windom Kimsey, FAIA, LEED AP, president and CEO of Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects; and Lee Faris, vice president of development for Cadence. Rick Smith, president and CEO of RDS Properties, will serve as moderator.
The event is free to attend and open to the general public, with parking available in the parking garage near City Hall, located at Basic Road and Lead Street, accessible via Basic Road. Lunch will be provided by Emerald Island Casino at a cost of $15 per person.
“This year’s expo will focus on exciting growth projects in Henderson and showcase positive changes in our area,” said Scott Muelrath, president and CEO of the Henderson Chamber. “We look forward to offering our attendees, including new and potential members, opportunities to network, exchange ideas and meet with other business-minded people in the valley.”
