Monthly networking breakfast to feature panel discussion May 8
HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly networking breakfast, “The Value of Internships to Employers and Company Workforce Planning,” presented by Bradford Glover of College of Southern Nevada, Nicole Wesley of Nevada State College and Las Vegas Councilman Col. (Ret.) Steve Seroka, from 7 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, at Fiesta Henderson, 777 W. Lake Mead Parkway in Henderson.
Glover joined the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) as the director of career services and re-entry in September 2015. Currently he develops alliances with other institutions of higher education and workforce development organizations on the local and national level.
Wesley is the director of career services at Nevada State College. She oversees all aspects of the Career Services Center and interfaces with students/alumni, employers and faculty/staff to provide comprehensive student resources such as major/career exploration, job and internship search assistance, career events and workshops, interview preparation and more.
Before being elected to the city council, Seroka was a highly-decorated, 30-year active duty fighter pilot with the United States Air Force. More recently, he has served as the chief of staff at the Nellis Air Force Base Warfare Center as well as for the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce. He also serves as an advocate for veterans.
