Henderson Chamber to discuss legislative priorities April 12

Networking breakfast to educate members on chamber’s government affairs efforts

Amber StidhamHENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will concentrate on legislative priorities and the chamber’s government affairs program during the next Henderson Chamber of Commerce business networking breakfast, from 7 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, at the Fiesta Henderson, 777 W. Lake Mead Parkway.

Presented by Amber Stidham, government affairs director, and Scott Muelrath, chamber president and CEO, the event will feature an overview on why chambers of commerce are involved in protecting businesses at a legislative level; discuss how the Henderson Chamber is the voice of the local business community in government; and explain the issues affecting chamber members.

It will also provide an overview of the Issues Mobilization Political Action Committee (IMPAC). A bipartisan group operating separately from the Henderson Chamber, the IMPAC is run by independent volunteer members of the Henderson Chamber and follows the mission of the Henderson Chamber and its member businesses.

Cost for the breakfast is $25 for members and $45 for non-members. There will be an additional $10 charge for walk-ins. The last day to RSVP is 1 p.m. Monday, April 11. Cancellations are required by the RSVP deadline to receive a refund. RSVP online at hendersonchamber.com.
