Proceeds to benefit the Dr. Joel & Carol Bower School-Based Health Center

HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Henderson Class of 2012 will host the 2nd Annual Taste of Henderson charity event to benefit the Dr. Joel and Carol Bower School-Based Health Center from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at the Wingate by Wyndham, 3041 St. Rose Parkway in Henderson. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door.

The ticket price includes a Taste of Henderson food sampling provided and served by local restaurants, wine and non-alcoholic beverages, karaoke challenge, and a silent auction.

The Dr. Joel and Carol Bower School-Based Health Center is located on the campus of Basic High School in Henderson and provides no-cost health care to uninsured and under-insured Clark County School District students of all ages.

Leadership Henderson’s Class of 2012 got involved with the health center last year during its community service project and decided to continue the efforts even after members graduated from the program last spring.

Leadership Henderson is a non-profit organization that operates under the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Each year, the program’s class of community and business leaders receives more than 30 hours of professional leadership development training, which begins in October and continues through May.
