Chamber’s annual event to focus on past year, vision for the future

HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will host its annual State of the Chamber Address from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Westin at Lake Las Vegas, 101 Montelago Blvd. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Sponsored by Cox Communications, Dignity Health, Emerald Island Casino and Wells Fargo, the event will showcase the Henderson Chamber’s highlights and achievements during the past year and share the vision for the future. The host sponsors for the event are the Westin at Lake Las Vegas and Lake Las Vegas.

Scott Muelrath, president and CEO of the Henderson Chamber, and Tim Brooks, Henderson Chamber chair as well as owner of Emerald Island Casino, will present. Additionally, the Henderson Chamber’s newly elected board members will be introduced, and the chamber board of directors, Henderson Chamber Foundation board members and Henderson Development Association trustees will be sworn in.

The Henderson Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit, professional organization committed to promoting and supporting member businesses. The event gives attendees the opportunity to network with chamber members, board members, business owners, politicians and community leaders.

The event will take on a new format this year to make it more accessible in terms of cost. Cost is $45 for members, $65 for non-members. (Only single seats will be available this year.) Instead of a formal sit-down dinner, heavy appetizers will be served. There will also be a cash bar. Additionally, the new format will allow attendees to have more access to board members and other chamber leadership.

“We are always seeking ways to remain a personal chamber, even as we continue to grow,” Muelrath said. “This year’s revamped format is a perfect example of that.”
