Chamber’s chief contract lobbyist to present during luncheon
HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will host “2017 in Summation: Biannual Nevada Legislative Luncheon” from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 22, at the Wildhorse Country Club, 2100 W. Warm Springs Road.
During the luncheon, the Henderson Chamber’s chief contract lobbyist, Rocky Finseth, president/CEO of Carrara Nevada, will discuss key bills state legislators acted on that will impact local businesses, overview how the chamber advocates on behalf of members, and provide a glimpse of what Nevada’s political and policy landscape may look like in the future. Specifically, he will delve into paid sick leave, minimum wage, diabetes disclosures and prevailing wage.
Finseth’s firm, a veteran government affairs and lobbying firm in the state, has been at the table and in the mix of many of the major political decisions in Nevada for more than 20 years, including on behalf of the Henderson Chamber since 2014.
With more than two decades of experience himself at the local, state and federal level, Finseth is a well-respected mainstay in the statewide policy and political sphere and has received numerous recognitions for his work in developing powerful and proven political programs throughout the state.
The event is sponsored by Gordon Law, Bank of George, Rich Wightman & Company and Carrara Nevada.
Cost for the luncheon is $40 for members and $50 for non-members (with an additional $10 for walk-ins). The last day to RSVP is Monday, June 19.
