Aug. 19 event to serve dual role; ribbon cutting to also recognize grant recipient
HENDERSON, Nev. – On Wednesday, Aug. 19, the Henderson Chamber of Commerce has much to celebrate.
Not only will it celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Henderson Business Resource Center, the state’s longest-running business incubator, but it will also celebrate its newest tenant, Home Helpers and Direct Link of Henderson, the USAA Bank Veteran-Owned Business Grant recipient, with a ribbon cutting ceremony from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All of the HBRC’s Aug. 19 festivities will take place at the HBRC, located at 112 S. Water St. (the Wells Fargo building) in downtown Henderson. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
The HBRC business incubator provides support services for, and resources tailored to, young companies. The goal of the resource center is to create jobs in the Henderson community, enhance an entrepreneurial climate and retain businesses in Henderson while diversifying the local economy. Upstarts, entrepreneurs and companies new to the Las Vegas Valley can not only afford office space suited for growth but receive guidance and the networking opportunities required to succeed.
In the past, the HBRC has helped businesses such as Imagine Communications, Desert Living HOA, American National Insurance (Gavin Walker Agency), David C. Eisenberg (Financial Consultant), K2 Energy Solutions, Nevada State High School, We The People, Creative Property Solutions and others get their starts in the Las Vegas Valley.
Home Helpers and Direct Link of Henderson provides in-home care and support for people in their homes, retirement communities, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. USAA Bank has served military service members and their families for more than 90 years.
The Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation is a non-profit corporation organized to manage and distribute funds and resources to further the development of the community through activities that are exclusively charitable, scientific, or educational. The Foundation is responsible for the creation and success of both the Henderson Business Resource Center (a business incubator) and the Leadership Henderson program.
