Principal of Gordon Law has served on the committee since 2013
HENDERSON, Nev. – Aviva Gordon, principal of Gordon Law, was named chair of the 2016-17 Henderson Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee during its Oct. 6 session. She replaces outgoing Chair Stan Olsen.
The Legislative Committee works with the chamber’s lobbyist to convey the voice of Southern Nevada’s business community to state representatives during the legislative session, the next of which will begin Feb. 6.
The committee maintains and tracks a robust watch list of bills it finds are significant to the needs of member businesses. The lobbyist communicates those policy priorities and positions to legislators and other key stakeholders.
“It is my honor to continue the invaluable work in advocating for the members of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce,” said Gordon, who has served on the committee since 2013. “The collaborative work among chamber staff, volunteer members of the committee and our lobbyist, Carrera Nevada, will greatly enhance the voices of our membership with the legislature.”
