Galleria at Sunset hosts Paws & Claus photo night; Santa hears Christmas wishes of bones and chew toys

Galleria Henderson’s ‘holiday headquarters’ for shoppers and their pets

HENDERSON, Nev. From its pre-season shopping opportunities, to its lengthy calendar of events and Black Friday and day-after-Christmas sales, the Galleria at Sunset is the “holiday headquarters” for Las Vegas Valley shoppers, and everyone’s invited – including the valley’s furrier pals.

From 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, Santa Claus will listen to Christmas wishes of bones and chew toys as local families bring their pets to the lower level of the mall’s center court to have their photos taken with Santa Claus.

Furry family members are encouraged to take full advantage of their time in the spotlight, and festive holiday costumes are welcomed.

“Santa’s heard holiday wishes from everyone from dogs to lizards,” said Heather Valera, marketing director for the Galleria at Sunset. “All of the valley’s pet friends are welcome at the Galleria at Sunset Dec. 8.”

The Galleria at Sunset opened in 1996 and is anchored by Macy’s, JCPenney, Dillard’s, Kohl’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods. It features premiere retailers such as Coach, bebe, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Gymboree, Buckle, Abercrombie & Fitch, Victoria’s Secret, Brookstone and more and is also home to the Galleria Library. Owned and operated by Forest City Enterprises, the 1,051,000-square-foot complex is the only enclosed mall in Henderson – one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. In addition to retail, the Galleria at Sunset boasts two full service and 12 fast food restaurants.
