‘The Ugly Duckling’ one of three tales to be told during ‘The Carnival of Animals’
HENDERSON, Nev. – Storytime is always a favorite for children at Henderson Libraries, but during the Summer Reading Program, a special storytime program is scheduled to educate and delight an audience.
Fratello Marionettes will perform “Carnival of the Animals,” a fanciful score featuring three classic storybook tales: “Three Little Pigs,” “Tortoise and the Hare” and “The Ugly Ducking.”
Using a unique performing style, the puppet and puppeteer are seen in full view of the audience on a raised stage. The 45-minute program is perfect for children and families.
“Carnival of the Animals” can be seen on Wednesday, June 23, at 1:30 p.m. at the Green Valley Library – located at 2797 N. Green Valley Pkwy. on the corner of Sunset Road. It can also be seen at 4 p.m. that same day at the Malcolm Library – located at 2960 Sunridge Heights Pkwy. near Seven Hills Pkwy.
Two more shows can be seen on Thursday, June 24, at 9:30 a.m. at the Galleria Library – located in Galleria at Sunset at 1300 W. Sunset Road – and at 4 p.m. at the Paseo Verde Library – located at 280 S. Green Valley Pkwy. near the I-215.
