Roadmap to Success Series continues with tax strategies, updates

HENDERSON, Nev.The next topic to be featured in the Roadmap to Success Series – hosted by the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and the Henderson Business Resource Center – will be “Tax Strategies and Updates: How Small Business Can Save Big.”

Featuring Rick Douglas, partner of Barlow and Douglas CPAs, the workshop will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at Henderson Business Resource Center – located at 112 Water St. near West Pacific Avenue in downtown Henderson.

Free to Henderson Chamber members, the Roadmap to Success Series began in September and continues through May. The series includes 23 workshops covering topics including finance, legal, marketing, and operations and sales.

Douglas is a certified public accountant and partner of Henderson-based Barlow and Douglas CPAs. His expertise includes small business structuring, implementation of tax strategies and business consulting and development strategies.

During the workshop, Douglas will help attendees understand new tax updates that may impact their businesses, avenues owners of small businesses can take to save taxes and how to use an entity in their favor to save money and reduce audit risk.
