Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club to host free workshop March 14

Children ages 4 to 9 can try out soccer, learn beginning techniques during event

LAS VEGAS – The Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club will host a free workshop to introduce children ages 4 to 9 to soccer. The recreational workshop, held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14, is geared to this age of new players to the club and will introduce them to the beginning techniques of the game. The workshop will take place in the fields of Hyde Park Middle School, 900 Hinson St.

“We are confident this program will develop the game within the child while developing their gross motor skills and building coordination, balance and confidence,” said Chris Quaresma, director of the youth program for Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club.

The workshop is to introduce children to the game, and there is no obligation to join the club.

The Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club, a non-profit organization, operates under the belief that the youngest players are the future of the club, and the academy strives to aid each and every player who attends the professional year-round program, structured by a nationally recognized coaching staff. Former club players have gone on to play at the collegiate, Olympic and professional levels in the United States and abroad. The club is overseen by the Colorado Rapids Alliance Technical Staff.
