CrossFit Veni Vidi Vici, CrossFit Inc. partner to host CrossFit Kettlebell Trainer Course Jan. 17, 18

Jeff Martone, pioneer of the modern kettlebell movement, to conduct training

KettlebellsHENDERSON, Nev. – CrossFit Veni Vidi Vici will host a two-day CrossFit Kettlebell Trainer Course in partnership with CrossFit, Inc. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 17 and 18.

Open to anyone, the course will take place at CrossFit Veni Vidi Vici, 3306 St. Rose Parkway. Check-in will take place at 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 17. A one-hour lunch break will take place on both days.

Jeff Martone, master of sport and CrossFit kettlebell SME, will conduct the course. Founder and CEO of Tactical Athlete Training Systems, Inc., Martone is considered a pioneer and one of the founding fathers of the modern kettlebell movement in the United States.

During the course, participants will learn how to effectively teach kettlebell exercises, quickly assess and correct common errors, and safely conduct kettlebell training. Exercises reviewed at the course include the swing, Turkish get-up, clean, overhead press, and snatch, as well as multiple variations of those movements. Mobility drills are demonstrated and practiced before each training session, followed by a short stretching routine at the end of each day. Completion of the course will enable participants to enhance their own CrossFit programming and performance.

Participants must bring the following: a printed version of the registration receipt; a government-issued photo ID; their seminar guide (sent with course confirmation emails) with pen/pencil; suitable clothes for working out; their credentials and requirements; and snacks and lunch (if they don’t plan to go offsite for lunch).

To receive a Kettlebell Trainer Certificate, one must hold a valid and current CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate (or a CF-L3); attend and participate in all parts of the Kettlebell Trainer Course; and pass the performance test. Certificates will be issued upon completion of the seminar. Those who do not meet the requirements will be issued a certificate of attendance.

The fee for the CrossFit Kettlebell Trainer Course is $595. Payment can be made via credit card or check. A $250 deposit is required, and the final balance is due three weeks prior to the course. Detailed payment instructions can be found here.
