Henderson-based facility provides assisted living, memory care
HENDERSON, Nev. – Coronado Heights Senior Living, 2320 Ione Road, a Henderson-based assisted living and memory care community, will celebrate its grand opening at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22. The Henderson Chamber of Commerce and Henderson City Councilwoman Gerri Schroder will conduct a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m.
Operated by Plum Healthcare, the new 77,000-square-foot facility has 99 apartments — 79 assisted living and 20 memory care. The majority of apartments will be private, but shared apartments will be available, too. Each apartment is equipped with a kitchenette and senior-friendly bathrooms and showers. Residents will also have access to a state-of-the-art movie theater, two courtyards, scheduled transportation to nearby shopping and restaurants, and made-from-scratch meals carefully planned by an on-staff chef.
“Our goal with Coronado Heights Senior Living is to create an environment where our residents can ‘age in place,’” said Wade Vest, CEO. “Healthy seniors can make this their home and feel comfortable knowing that, if health conditions arise, we are equipped to handle them here, and they won’t need to move again in five, 10 or 20 years. Being able to stay in one home as they age is very important to many seniors, and we are pleased to be able to provide them with that option.”
Individualized care plans will be developed and implemented for all residents. Care services are offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Additionally, Coronado Heights will partner with local home health providers to offer services including nursing and therapy (physical, occupational and speech). Hospice partners will also come to the community to provide necessary care to residents who qualify. Short stays and an adult day program will be available as well.
