Capstone Brokerage teams with Olive Crest to raise funds during Child Abuse Awareness Month

LAS VEGAS — April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and Capstone Brokerage is teaming up with Olive Crest to raise funds to support the organization’s programs to help Southern Nevada families. During a Tupperware drive this month, Capstone will match 10 percent of donations earned through the sale, which means Olive Crest will receive 50 percent from the proceeds of items sold.

Mary Thompson, president of Capstone Brokerage, is on the board at Olive Crest, which has been the company’s choice charity for more than 10 years.

The match donation is one way Capstone Brokerage supports Olive Crest throughout the year. Together, the company has raised more than more than $20,000 in monetary and in-kind donations through drives for diapers, backpacks filled with school supplies and essential bags with toiletry items. During the holidays, the team at Capstone also adopts young adults transitioning out of the foster care system.

Capstone Brokerage, Inc. is a risk management, insurance and employee benefits firm, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary this spring. Olive Crest is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and strengthening families and will be hosting a series of events in April to raise child abuse awareness and funds.
