‘Roadmap to Success’ workshop series critical aspects of running a business
HENDERSON, Nev. – The next topic to be featured in the Roadmap to Success Series – hosted by the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and the Henderson Business Resource Center – will be “Creating Your Best Business Through Better Recordkeeping.”
Christine Footit, senior stakeholder liaison for the IRS, will lead the workshop, which will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Henderson Business Resource Center – located at 112 Water St. near West Pacific Avenue in downtown Henderson.
Free to Henderson Chamber members, the Roadmap to Success Series takes place through May 2011, dark in December. The series includes 23 workshops covering topics including finance, legal, marketing, and operations and sales.
In her position with the IRS, Footit is a senior stakeholder in the communications, liaison and disclosure business unit in the IRS’ Small Business and Self-Employed Division. There she works with tax professionals, industry and trade associations, small-business owners and other federal, state and local government agencies. During the workshop, she will discuss how to protect and grow a business through recordkeeping; properly implement and maintain the process; and identify the correct person to keep records.
All chamber members and the public are invited to attend. There is no cost for chamber members. Cost for non-members is $25. Breakfast is sponsored by Emerald Island Casino.
