Officers serve one-year terms, participate in community events focused on seniors
LAS VEGAS – The Aging Service Directors Organization has elected its 2018-19 officers.
Michael DiAsio, co-owner and director of Visiting Angels Las Vegas, was elected as chair with Cassandra Cotton, community outreach manager for Nathan Adelson Hospice, as vice chair; Kim Harney-Moore, Nevada Senior Medicare patrol director for the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, as secretary; and Cory Lutz, of Respite Care, as treasurer. DiAsio takes over the position from Herb Randall, Ed.D., who was named immediate past chair.
Officers serve the organization for one-year terms and participate in a number of community events, including Nevada’s Senior Citizen of the Year Award, which recently named Nancy Nelson as this year’s honoree.
The Aging Service Directors Organization was founded in 1982 by Myla Florence, administrator of aging. The organization was meant to set up a network of city, county, state and private organizations that work to promote and respect the senior adult communities in Nevada.
