Cory Frey of Assurance Ltd. to present as part of Henderson Chamber series

Cory FreyHENDERSON, Nev. – Cory Frey, employee benefits advisor for Assurance Ltd., will present “The ACA is Here (It’s Evident in Your Current Renewal): Implement It and Move On!” as part of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce’s Roadmap to Success Series on Thursday, Dec. 11.

Taking place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., the workshop will cover how charges are applied to employees per base rating and the federal curve; contribution methods and how an employer can mitigate costs and case studies. It will take place in the Henderson Business Resource Center, 112 S. Water St. near West Pacific Avenue in downtown Henderson.

“The Affordable Care Act is here, evident in your recent group health renewal,” said Frey, CBWA and NAHU PPACA-certified specialist. “If the ACA has not already impacted your income statement, it soon will. Employers need actual costs and examples to support their future buying decisions.”

Frey is a certified Affordable Care Act specialist and is a graduate of UNLV and Southern Methodist University’s Graduate School of Banking.

With a focus on implementation, the presentation is designed to simplify attendees’ understanding of the pricing associated with small- to medium-size employer-based group health insurance. The goal of the presentation is to provide simple and concise options to the employer-level decision maker. The options will include cost samples and examples as well as supporting methodologies pertaining to the offering of employee benefits.

Sponsored by the City of Henderson, the presentation is open to the public. Admission is free for members of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and $25 for non-members. Walk-ins will be charged an additional $10. Those interested should RSVP online at hendersonchamber.com by Tuesday, Dec. 9.
