LAS VEGAS – Leaders from the sports and business world will make up an all-star lineup of presenters at the Xs & Os of Success: Leadership Showcase from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at the Inspire Theater in downtown Las Vegas. The event is presented by Findlay Toyota, and doors will open at 8:15 a.m.

Featured presenters at the showcase will include college basketball national champion, Wooden Award winner and former NBA player Ed O’Bannon; Fox Sports Radio’s JT The Brick; Hall of Fame collegiate athletic director Jim Livengood; Las Vegas Events president Pat Christenson; Findlay Toyota president Rich Abajian; and Chief Rock Star Kristi Staab.

“I’ve had the opportunity to experience some great highs through sports as well as some very low lows,” O’Bannon said. “Those experiences have helped me in my professional career after playing as well as in my roles as a father, husband and coach. There is something in the message for everyone no matter their own personal journey.”

O’Bannon, who speaks to businesses and groups about his experiences on and off the basketball court, was recently named one of the 50 most influential people in sports for his role in supporting NCAA student-athletes.

Space is limited to attend the showcase, a professional and personal development experience for executives, rising business leaders and sales professionals. Tickets are $99 each and include a continental breakfast prior to the event and a meet-and-greet with many of the presenters following the show.

All involved with presenting at the showcase have a connection to sports – Christenson was an NCAA champion wrestler at Wisconsin while Abajian was a Division-I football coach prior to building one of the most successful Toyota dealerships in the world. The collection of short presentations and a “Leadership Huddle” are designed to introduce the audience to sport leadership’s time-tested models, which produce championship results for individuals and teams in business – and life.

“Successful professionals love to keep learning, but they want to be entertained and engaged while they are being educated,” said author and speaker D.J. Allen, the host of the event with Xs & Os of Success. “Sport is a powerful teacher. It teaches us to overcome adversity, to work with others. Those in attendance will not only enjoy the experience, they will leave with relevant and powerful lessons to begin implementing in their careers and lives immediately.”

Others involved in the showcase include Life is Beautiful CEO Justin Weniger, ESPN Radio’s Bernie Fratto, UNLV volleyball coach Cindy Fredrick and general counsel of Agassi Graf/chairman of the Nevada Athletic Commission Cisco Aguilar.

“The teachings from those in sports are so relevant in business,” Abajian said. “And learning from others is so crucial for success in today’s business world. We’re excited about this experience and what it will provide to those in attendance.”

Additional sponsors include ESPN Radio/Las Vegas 1100 AM/100.9 FM, Inspire Theater, SEMVegas, Life is Beautiful, Park on Fremont, Commonwealth, oogoog and Resort Media Partners.
