Mellies takes new position at North Las Vegas branch

LAS VEGAS – Valley Bank of Nevada has promoted Roger Mellies to credit administrator at the main office, 6385 Simmons St. in North Las Vegas.

Mellies’ new position entails credit administration, risk management, internal audit review of loan portfolios and oversight of compliance with the policies and procedures of the lending department. Mellies was hired at Valley Bank of Nevada Henderson location in 2016.

With 25 years of banking experience – 23 years in commercial lending and credit administration – Mellies started in the business as a University of Nevada, Las Vegas graduate with a bachelor’s degree in finance. In the last 15 years, he has served in senior positions at banks such as Bank of Las Vegas and Nevada State Bank as well as chief credit officer for a $475 million bank.
