Santa Claus is coming to town

Claus to bestow holiday cheer starting Nov. 6 at Galleria at Sunset

NORTH POLE – Henderson’s kids better watch out; they’d better not cry; they’d better not pout – Santa’s due to arrive.

Santa Claus is coming to the Galleria at Sunset Saturday, Nov.6. He will arrive with a parade and a show in the Food Court at 11 a.m. and will take part in a second show at 1 p.m. The two shows will feature “Rudolph the Great and Friends” and will include a magic show, singing, dancing and a parade with Santa. Kids will receive a free gift at each show.

“Since Santa spends most of his time during the year at home getting ready for the next Christmas season, he couldn’t wait to get out to Henderson to begin enjoying the warmer weather and meeting all the kids,” said Mrs. Claus. “The Galleria is the first stop on his agenda, and he’s eager to start making his list and checking it twice.”

Santa will also find out who’s naughty and who’s nice by visiting and taking photos with children in the Galleria’s lower level at Center Court from Nov. 6 until Dec. 24. Visit www.galleriaatsunset.com for photo hours.

“You wouldn’t think so since he is always so careful to avoid being seen on Christmas Eve, but Santa just loves attention and seeing his name in print so he can share his holiday spirit,” Mrs. Claus added. “He wants to meet as many boys and girls, reporters and photographers as possible.”

Santa’s visit to the Galleria at Sunset – located on the corner of Sunset Road and Stephanie Street in Henderson at 1300 W. Sunset Road – is just one of many activities the mall has planned for the holiday season.

The Galleria at Sunset opened in 1996 and is anchored by Macy’s, JCPenney, Dillard’s, Kohl’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods. It features premiere retailers such as Coach, bebe, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Gymboree, Buckle, Abercrombie & Fitch, Victoria’s Secret, Brookstone and more. Owned and operated by Forest City Enterprises, the 1,051,000-square-foot complex is the only enclosed mall in Henderson – one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. In addition to retail, Galleria boasts two full-service and 12 fast food restaurants.
